Let’s do a session!

Book a session

You can start by clicking on the Book a Session icon, or contact me by email or phone.

Decide on a date you would like. You may want to consider when you get your hair cut or other events that will affect your appearance.

Book a Session

Studio or location or both.

Do you want to shoot in the studio? on location? At your office or home? For location shoots I bring my equipment and a backdrop if necessary.

Studio – I have the most control over lighting and background in the studio. Also It is not affected by time of day or weather as with a location shoot.

Location shoots are great for having a sense of place. Mornings and afternoons are the best times of day. Late spring until early autumn are great times of the year to shoot outside. While the colors of fall are beautiful, the images will look out of place other times of the year. The same goes for wintery shoots with lots of snow. (I love shooting in the snow btw)

Office or home shoots can set a nice tone or can make it convenient for people in the office to be in the photos. Keep in mind how much open space there is for a shoot, including ceiling height.

Do you want a make up artist?

Or have your make up done at a salon before the shoot? I can make recommendations either way.
Plan on an extra hour. (Get one free retouched image if you hire a make up artist, a $40 value, make up artists make my retouching easier).
A make up artists can make you look really great in your photos. Women and men can both benefit from an experienced make up artist. Most make up artists can also do some hair styling.

Do you have any background requests?

I always have white, grey and black set up at the studio. I also have other colors if there is anything specific you would like or need to match or your branding.

Photo Review

If time permits, I like doing this at the session in case we see something that needs to be corrected in camera. For personal branding and shoots with lots of photos I prefer to go through them first and bring the amount of them down to a reasonable number.

Photo Editing

Once we select the final images I get to work on making them look great. Depending upon how many photos and my work load, that usually takes a couple of days.

Photo Gallery

The final photos are posted on a secure online gallery that you can download.

Prints, Cards, Books

If you want prints, books, cards etc, I can help you with that process. That includes size of prints, types of cards, book size and layout, framing suggestions.
